Rick has been married to his wife Kelly for over 25 years. They both were raised in the Chicagoland area and have decided to brave the cold winters to keep their family close together and the kids near their grandparents. Rick and Kelly are both blessed and proud to have six very close children (4 girls 2 boys) and one adorable grandson. As a family they all enjoy being together whether it's a movie, game night or watching siblings perform in competition dance or sports.

Over the years as his kids were growing up, Rick reluctantly, took a voluntary leadership role in the community.
"I never played organized sports and I knew nothing about football...it wasn't my thing"
But because he saw that there was a need for help and recognized the joy it gave to the kids, he couldn't just sit on the sidelines and watch anymore, he made the decision to volunteer and help in any way needed so as to not disappoint the kids.
"Originally, I told my wife 'My boys won't play football'...I didn't want them to get injured...but when I saw how much they loved the game I knew I couldn't take that away from them...as it turned out, both my boys ended up playing all the way through high school and I couldn't get enough"
As a volunteer Rick put his personal feelings aside and committed himself to serving others. His commitment lasted not just for one season, but for several years, as he eventually became the president of the program.
